High Touch & Paper-Less
We use SmartVault to exchange files and store our documents. Through the secure portal, you can upload and download your accounting and tax documents, as well as access all of your tax returns for the current and prior years.
To get started using SmartVault, follow these instructions.
Activating Your Guest Account
- Open your activation email from SmartVault.
- Click on the SmartVault Activation Link in the email.
- Enter your phone number and password.
- Click Create My User.
Signing In to SmartVault as a Guest
- Go to my.smartvault.com.
- Enter your email address and password you used to activate your guest account.
- Click Sign In.
Uploading Files to SmartVault
- Log in to your SmartVault account.
2. Select Files and Folders.
3. Click on the folder with your name or company name, referred to as a Vault within SmartVault.
4. Click the desired tax year folder.
5. For individuals, you will upload to “Client Source Documents.” For businesses, you will upload to “Client Tax Documents to ARR & Co.” or “Client Tax Documents to ARR & Co.” Navigate to the desired folder.
6. Click Upload file.
7. Click Upload a file to browse for the file or drag and drop it into the window.
8. Click Save file. A confirmation message appears.
9. Click the x to close the message.
We will automatically receive a notification whenever you upload files to your folder, so you don’t have to let us know.
Downloading Files from SmartVault
- Log in to your SmartVault account.
- Select Files and Folders.
3. Click on the folder with your name or company name, referred to as a Vault within SmartVault.
4. Click the desired tax year folder.
5. Navigate to “Client Tax Returns” and click the tax return PDF to view it in the browser.
6. Click Download to save a copy of your tax return and click Back to close the preview window.
